Update on Rhiannon!

Well she was less "spotted" this morning. This is her second dose of antibiotics and she isn't even acting like she is sick. My mother is watching her today so that I can be here at work!

I'm watching the little one carefully. I'm hoping and praying she doesn't get sick. I'm hoping we all come out without strep.

Not fun!!!!

Rhiannon is still sick! Grrrr.

I took my oldest daughter to clinic care this morning. Well a little history before I continue.

Thursday last week Rhiannon was complaining of a sore throat. Not uncommon this time of year with the weather being COLD in the morning and in the 80's in the afternoon.. Gave her something to soothe her throat.

Friday morning.. I go in a check her and she is firecracker hot. I call in sick to work and call her school and let them know she will not be in. I let her sleep and watch movies in her room and give her tylenol and motrin alternating every 4 hours to break the fever.

Saturday she acts like nothing is wrong.. no fever, no sore throat (According to her) so she plays her soccer game as planned and nothing goes wrong.

Sunday she wakes up and has a rash on her tummy and back and is complaining of her throat again so we take her to clinic care.

Doctor doesn't test anything... makes the assumption that she has strep and prescribes an antibiotic that takes care of a wide array of bacterial infections. I'm glad she took so much time to diagnose my daughter(Note the sarcasm).

So she has had the first in the round of doses of this stuff. If her rash and condition doesn't improve within the allotted time for this to work I'm going to chew someone for letting her suffer longer than she has. If she gets worse within a day or so I will be calling her ped. and letting her know what is going on.
